Adamas Scienza has been organizing and leading the roman edition of the Unistem Day since 2011, in collaboration with the “Sapienza” and “Tor Vergata” Universities. Organised nationally by the Unistem group at the University of Milan – this is the biggest European outreach event promoting stem cell research, held simultaneously in over 70 European Universities and attracting significant figures of participants among students, teachers, scientists, journalists and policy makers (1000 people in Rome and roughly 30000 among all participant Universities in its latest edition). The Association also organises Conferences/Events for the Brain Awareness Week to promote Neuroscience research.
During their time at EMBL, the founders of ADAMAS SCIENZA have also developed workshops and laboratory activities for the most important science festivals and outreach events in Europe such as: the pan-European EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) hosted by the cities of Barcelona in 2008, Turin in 2010 and Dublin in 2012; the European Festival for science teachers “Science on Stage” (Grenoble 2007, Copenhagen 2011); the Science Picnic hosted by Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw and the Genoa Science Festival (attracting more than 200.000 visitors every year). Moreover the association collaborates with the Museum of History of Medicine (Sapienza University of Rome) for the organization of the European Night of Museums which takes place every year in May.
